Chartered Accountant

What is CA Course?

Chartered Accountant is a designation that is given to a professional of accounting who has received certification from a statutory body that states he/ she possesses the necessary qualifications to take care of the matters related to accounting and taxation of a business. These matters include file tax returns, maintaining records of investments, audit financial statements and business practices, preparing and reviewing financial documents and reports. A Chartered Accountant is also qualified and capable of offering advisory services to clients that comprise companies and individuals.

To become a certified Chartered Accountant, a candidate is required to complete three levels of training. It is only after qualifying all the three levels that the candidate will be given the designation of a CA. The course of Chartered Accountancy is completed in roughly five years.

Level - I

CAP-I (300 Marks)

Paper – 1: Fundamentals of Accounting

Paper – 2:

  Part A: Mercantile Law

  Part B: Fundamentals of Economics

Paper – 3:

  Part A: Fundamentals of Management

  Part B: Commercial Mathematics and Statistics

Duration : 6 Months

Eligibility:

Students should complete the pre-test i.e. Postal with a minimum score of 40 % each.

Level II

CAP-II (700 Marks)

Group – I

  • Paper – 1: Advanced Accounting
  • Paper – 2: Audit and Assurance
  • Paper – 3: Cooperate and Other Laws

Group – II

  • Paper – 4: Financial Management
  • Paper – 5: Cost and Management Accounting
  • Paper – 6: Business Communication and Marketing
  • Paper – 7: Income Tax and VAT

Duration : 9 Months

Eligibility:

Students should complete the pre-test i.e. Postal or Hall with a minimum score of 40 % each.
Exemption:
Applied if scored > 60 % and valid for the next 3 consecutive examinations.

IT: 60 Hours

Level - III

CAP-III (800 Marks)

Group – I

  • Paper – 1: Advanced Financial Reporting
  • Paper – 2: Advanced Financial Management
  • Paper – 3: Advanced Auditing
  • Paper – 4: Cooperate Law

Group – II

  • Paper – 5: Management Information and Central System
  • Paper – 6: Advanced Taxation
  • Paper – 7: Advanced Cost and Management Accounting
  • Paper – 8: Strategic Management and Decision Making Analysis


Duration : 3 Years

GENERAL MANAGEMENT AND COMMUNICATION SKILLS (GMCS) PROGRAM:

The program has been designed to improve skills in oral, written and non-verbal communication for executives in business situations.
